2026

Generally speaking, the end-of-the-year newsletters and posts reflect upon the events that occurred within the past twelve months.

That has value, but this is isn't that.

You can suss out what happened during the year by examining what is about to happen next year, which I find more valuable:

  1. My trainings for professional musicians who are starting their studios are now being shown on public access television--Channel 38 in Detroit. (I'm a tv star).
  2. The Faculty Handbook is my comprehensive training manual for new educators. This consists of ten modules ranging from technology and AI to neurodivergence and social emotional learning. The complete package has been edited and copywritten by the US Copyright Office, and will be available on Teachers Pay Teachers on January 15. Each module can be purchased separately as well.
  3. I just finished a four week performance schedule at the Hamtramck Public Library for the holiday season as alter ego Sugar Calzone. With ballgowns, tall hair, and leather and lace, Sugar Calzone's performances have expanded to residential senior facilities and homes. (I'm a stage star).
  4. I am scheduled to speak at several STEM conferences where I will show where the science is in the music. (I'm an educator star).

It's been...a year. I'm optimistic about my work, the intention behind it, and the creativity that is ready to be expressed. Thank you so much.

There are four paid subscribers--thank you very much. 100% of those funds have gone right back into the company to help create opportunities for all of us to grow.

I am grateful beyond measure.

Auld Lang Syne

Finally, Auld Lang Syne was the song we ended with on December 23rd at the Hamtramck Library. Appropriate.

"Auld lang syne" directly translates to "old long since", but idiomatically we know it to mean "for old time's sake".

May our friendships remain strong through the new year. To great success!

Happy New Year!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

     Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
     For auld lang syne.
     We’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
     For auld lang syne.
