Collage Planning Day
How we get consistently high, replicable results.

Today is Planning Day.
It is a scheduled day full of activities that help us focus for the next 12 months.
It'll be fun, too.
And it's specifically for administrators.
My personal priorities for The Piano Instructor Consulting are:
- My teachers feel fulfilled and supported.
- The entities with whom we work find us a joy, and we find them a joy. (That doesn't mean there won't be hard work or difficult conversations. It means that everyone is striving for growth and everyone's trying to find the best path).
- I want the whole world to know that yes, you can play the piano (or any instrument you fancy) and no, your playing doesn't have to be Orchestra Hall-ready for you to enjoy it, and I want that knowledge to show up in the students of the teachers we train.
- I would like to build a musical army of 200 educators by next May who teach all students as if they could play at Orchestra Hall but if they don't want to, they have the skill set to knock it outta the park anyway, however they define that.
- Finally, I'd like to host a music teacher conference in February where, over four days, I do my full training session complete with guest speakers like my friend who wrote two papers regarding fatphobia in musical theater and my other friend the board certified music therapist and my other friend the neuroscientist. I wiuld teach the full The Faculty Handbook course.
Our job today is to put these “I want to do this” in picture form.
