Creativity isn't planned.
A 3 a.m. note for new creatives.

I was out. Deep in the sleep.
Like this one.

But then…
The idea that I have been nurturing for some time started blooming, and I knew that if I did not get up to at least sketch out the framework, it would be lost.
So I got up.
Carter had moved from the chair to where I was, and if you know anything about cats, you know that after a kitty settles down on your legs and purrs until he falls asleep, you are loathe to move a muscle.

But move I must, and move I did.
Carter was non-plussed.
Despite his disappointed sighs, I captured the structure of what I wanted, and all is well.
Now I'm happily sipping a chai with coconut milk looking at a notebook that contains a solid idea from which I can earn money.
This is just a note to let new creatives know:
- Yup, that happens.
- Yes, it is totally normal to get ideas at bizarre times of the day and night
- Yes, most of the time I capture them
- Yes, sometimes I don't
- Yes, you're in good company if you're not sure what ideas to pursue so you try to get ‘em all down just in case

If this happens to you, congratulations! You're a creative!
Now try to get some sleep.
