Cut your nails.

For teachers. It’s not about the nails.

Cut your nails.

Cut your nails.

When your nails are too long, blah blah blah. You know.

So why is there an entire post devoted to this?

Because it’s important.

It’s not about the nails.

If you want the student to have good technique, you have to model it.

If you want the student to practice, practice.

If you want students to feel optimistic about their progress, be optimistic about their progress and yours (which means you need to be progressing).

If you want your students to not talk down on themselves, don’t talk down on yourself and most certainly do not talk down to the student.

If you want your student to have short nails for proper alignment, efficiency of motion and so on, then cut your nails.
