Grace, leeway and compassion
The Faculty Handbook

The world is in flux. Today was a flux-y day.
So, I am controlling what I can control.
We teach this:
Generally, I make my own meals, I try to take in clean fuel because I am high energy, and I'm mindful of funds.
Take this to heart—
Sometimes you need to eat something you didn't make.
Sometimes you get sick of nickle-and-diming it.
Sometimes you have a knock-it-out-of-the-park day and a bologna sandwich will not do.
Sometimes you have a how-am-I-still-breathing-after-this-horrific-day and you don't have the wherewithal to make anything.
Sometimes there's no reason except you just don't freakin' feel like jt.
Don't feel guilty about indulging. You're working hard, you're trying to keep it together, and a treat is in order.
This post is not about dinner.
Give yourself grace, leeway, and compassion. No, it's not your imagination. Yes, together we can do anything.
We teach this.
