It's ok to wish for snow days.
Stop feeling guilty for having emotions.

New teachers, free yourself. Read the following:
- It’s ok to wish for snow days.
- It’s ok to take a mental health day and to tell nobody (except your vital people) about it.
- It’s ok spend your lunch time at school with the door locked with your headphones on watching Hulu or Netflix (make sure you use your own wi-fi or jetpack, not the school’s).
- It’s ok to be particularly proud of a lesson that went 100% better than you could possibly have imagined. Find someone with whom you can be effusive and share that story over and over until you’re finished sharing. The right person will want to hear all of the details. No, you’re not being annoying or self-aggrandizing. You need this. Everyone does.
- It’s ok to privately find funny some of the things students do or say that are wildly offensive and totally bananas. Just don’t repeat it.
Take a deep breath in * * * * hold it in * * * * exhale.
You’re doing great!
