Let’s talk food, Teachers
You gotta eat, and you gotta eat good stuff.

This is not a “you should eat this” post.
This is a “Eat foods you love so that you can sustain yourself throughout this academic year” post.
Listen: I love food.
Everybody says that, I know.
But does everybody deliberately teach at culinary schools and then sit in on the classes along with the students to learn techniques and then practice those techniques at home until those techniques are second nature?
Yeah, I love food.
Teachers get caught up in the frenzy of the day, and often food is left as a last consideration.
I can’t tell you how many times I have gone the entire day without anything to eat because there was so much to do. That’s not cool for the body, the mind, your mood, the students’ interactions, your memory, your ability to give intricate details patiently, and so on. And I suffered.
I pass this on to you, my dear Teachers:
Eat well and often. Food is required for sustenance. When you eat what you love, wow! Doesn’t it make your day so much better?
Drink your water. Water is required for sustenance. A crisp glass of water sometimes hits all the spots—and certainly helps your whole body and mind.
You’re doing great!
