Melissa Viviane Jefferson is a multiple award-winning singer, rapper, actress, director, producer, and classical flautist. Her TED Talk where she discusses how twerking helped raise her self esteem has been viewed 2.1 million times. Her performance on the red carpet at the MET in 2022 was mythic.
According to Billboard magazine, the artist known as Lizzo has had two number one hits and four top ten hits. Her top single, Truth Hurts, remained at the number one spot for seven weeks and spent 42 weeks on the billboard charts.
Lizzo is currently on tour promoting her fourth album, Special, and will perform in Detroit at Little Ceasar’s Arena on October 6.
