Music is a mood regulator

The limbic system is a region in the brain that helps you manage your behaviors and your emotions. The thalamus, hypothalamus, your amygdala, and your hippocampus work together to help you with your memories, your habits, your hunger and mood changes and so on.

When you listen or create music, blood flow increases to these regions of the brain. When you get chills from a passage, that’s likely a result from the release of dopamine into your system, which is a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good.

Music can be an excellent mood regulator.
