My body is asking me to slow down.

And so I shall.

My body is asking me to slow down.

I slept until 2 p.m. I'm usually up at 4:30 am. Something’s up.

After I got up, I went to the market and got groceries. This is normally a fifteen-minute jaunt.

Today, it took two hours.

I'm home now, and the house is quiet. I usually have music on, but I need it silent for now. I'm in warm thick sweats and fluffy socks with my hair pulled up. A hot shower was therapeutic.

On the menu tonight is some ramen with jalapeño, spinach, shallot, mushrooms, and sriracha, with bone broth I made.

On the agenda tonight is mind candy like NCIS or Brooklyn 99 or some comedy like Liza Treyger (pictured). I've pulled out the king size, purple, 3 cm thick, fluffy velour comforter.

I'm going to let myself recover from whatever I am recovering from, laughing while wrapped in a giant soft cloud.

Carter my cat is loving this; when I lie down it means he has a lap on which to loaf.

And the purring is healing for both of us.

This is a highly important post:

Yes, I have a ton of stuff to do. And I probably could've pushed to finish some of those things before the weekend.

But my body is asking me to slow down. If I don't make the time to do so, my body will choose the time for me.

Indeed, my body is choosing now, gently. I'm listening.

We teach this.

As you can see, I live what I teach.
