This happened.
But the other stuff is more important.
It’s cool.
I like awards.
The thing is, I didn’t even know I was a recipient until a couple of weeks ago.
Far more important which the certificate doesn’t reveal:
100% of my students became published authors during my tenure and under my direction.
100% of the students engaged with me about their dream lives and we devised multiple paths to make them happen.
100% of the students received positive feedback from me at least three times a week
100% of the students received positive feedback from their peers at least three times a week.
There was never a moment when the students felt like I didn’t care.
As a result of these, test scores increased double digitally within six months.
My mean scores were higher than almost everyone in the district, and were higher than everyone at the school by double digits.
There’s no award for any of that.
So they gave me this.
I dig it.
