What does "rest" look like?

I'm speaking to the teachers.

What does "rest" look like?

It's 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday night.

Dinner is pepperoni cupcakes (that's not what they’re called), mango juice + lemon lime pop/soda, Oscar Peterson, and full self-permission to scroll the social medias to my heart's content.

I am wearing men's jogging pants with a bazillion pockets, not because of the pockets, but because I have the legs of a super model and therefore cannot find soft jogging pants in women's sizes that fit my $1M insurable gams. I am wearing the world's softest tank top by Hanes (read: older than dirt, purchaed at Birch Run in the ‘00s with fabric worn down to my specifications). My socks are thick and fluffy and breathe well.

I am not sexy. I mean, I am, dahling, but this outfit is not meant for anyone's gaze.

Some would say that this meal isn't healthy and TikTok will turn me into [insert something bizarre][that's what she said!] and isn't it too warm for thick socks and why are you wearing men's clothing, TINA and similar forms of “What the heck?”.

To which I say you can fuck right the fuck off.

That is your response from now on when anyone yucks your yum in terms of rest. What constitutes rest for you, truly? Be honest about it and go do it like that and don't feel guilty about it.

Teachers, rest is a biological imperative.

What does rest look like for you?
