You’ve honed those skills over many years. Those habits are ingrained in your bones now.

Newsflash—your students don’t have that experience and therefore will not be as effective in their practice is you are with yours.

So you have to teach them.

How do you get students to practice in the first place?

You can’t. Motivation comes from within.

But you can do things to help encourage it. Practice, after all, is not the end result.
